A one-way barrier

Dryarn®'s thermo-insulating capacity is unique and creates a transpiration barrier that functions as insulation against ingress whilst conveying sweat to the exterior. All to the advantage of a healthy microclimate in favour of our well-being, allowing skin to remain dry and warm in winter months and fresh and dry during the summer. Insulating capacities greater than those of wool, reducing the layers of clothes and guaranteeing greater freedom of movement. 

Lightness that gives weight to well-being

Dryarn® is the lightest fibre existing in nature. To understand the entity and the value of its tiny specific weight, we exploit one of the most tested mechanisms in advertising: that of a direct comparison. For example, we take two jerseys apparently the same for volume or size, and fibres: one in Dryarn® and the other "similar", and we immediately discover that the Dryarn® garment weighs less. A lightness that brings a pleasurable sensation of comfort, agility and freedom of movement for anyone wearing a garment in Dryarn®. Less weight at same size is a fundamental feature of a fibre used for sports: you only have to think of a hiker with a big backpack, a cyclist watching every hundredth of a second or a motorbiker carrying bags and clothes for thousands of miles. Because - if a few grams are sufficient to earn precious seconds in competitions - in leisure time this lightness increases the pleasure of all activities, all to the advantage of our psychological and physical well-being. So to say, minimum weight, maximum yield. 

A force of nature

The fibre also resists frequent washing at high temperatures, even in the presence of dark and light coloured fabrics.
It resists abrasions, breakage, exposure to light and heat without altering its properties, rubbing (no pilling), immersion in sea water and even contact with concentrated solvents.
Colour, size and aspect never change. A perfect aesthetic performance of a dimensionally stable yarn (variation less than 2%). In just a few words, a Dryarn® garment keeps its size and shape - you can put your hand over the flame - this fibre is self-extinguishing too

Microfibre, maxi-hygiene

Dryarn® does not form any of the bad odours caused by the proliferation of bacterial flora (moths, insects, moulds or other micro-organisms) that tend to nest in the humid parts of garments. The stable and ideal "dry" condition of the fabric inhibits their formation, eliminating the risk of irritation, allergies and rashes. The secret lies in its waterproof features and high surface tension that convey humidity and sweat to the exterior where they evaporate, leaving skin always dry and an environment where bacteria cannot proliferate and cause unpleasant odours, even after intense and prolonged physical exercise. A naturally "bacteriostatic" fibre, not anti-bacterial. It therefore respects bacteria friendly to the skin flora such as Staphylococcus epidermidis, which produces and maintains the acidity of the skin surface (pH). Naturally, not as an anti-bacterial or bactericide but as an efficient, invisible ally protecting our health. 
Dryarn®'s "active" and permanent hypoallergenic properties make it an ideal fibre also for use in the medical field.

100% recyclable, Dryarn® is an ecological yarn coloured at origin with solid additives that do not require disposal of liquid waste during the dyeing process (which is extremely toxic). A technological fabric totally reintegrable in the production cycle in the manufacture of a vast number of items for daily use. Stain-proof, it needs no noxious solvents or soaps for cleaning. It does not lose its colour and is energy-saving since its very high performing yarn eliminates the need for pressing.
